Processing
Processing
Processing is a flexible software sketchbook and a language for learning how to code within the context of the visual arts. Since 2001, Processing has promoted software literacy within the visual arts and visual literacy within technology. There are tens of thousands of students, artists, designers, researchers, and hobbyists who use Processing for learning and prototyping.

Some of the works done on the processing programme are very amazing and quite complex to
grasp at first. The idea of taking what you made on the programme into a physical space confused me at first.

This installation called 'Light Kinetics in the loop' really showed me how far you could take processing. When you touch the first bulb it starts of a sequence within the lightbulbs almost like a domino effect. Also the depending on how hard you touch the bulb the speed of the sequence will be different.

Pathfinder is an interactive experience that has been developed to aid dancers in their movement. It seems that through Processing designers are now able to help people. I believer perhaps even more so than a simple dancer system.

I tried out some sketches of my own on processing trying to recreate some of the examples they have on their website.
